About the Sydney
STS Network
The Sydney STS Network is a community for researchers, students, and the wider community interested in the social, cultural, political, and historical dimensions of science and technology. We aim to connect people across disciplines and create a space for learning, collaboration, and public engagement.
We value opportunities to connect, share ideas, and develop their work. Activities include networking and mentoring, social catch-ups, work-in-progress seminars, concept sessions, reading groups, book launches, book forums, and masterclasses. We also welcome collaborative projects and skill-sharing workshops, reflecting the diverse interests and expertise of our community.
Looking ahead, we are balancing accessibility and in-person engagement. Next year, we plan to host two fully online sessions, one experimental hybrid session, and additional in-person gatherings to encourage conversation, collaboration, and the energy that comes from meeting face-to-face.
We invite you to reach out and connect with us via the contact form.
